Cascade Math Club is for 4th, 5th and 6th graders. We will meet once or twice a month according to the schedule below on Thursdays from 3:30-4:15 pm in Room 5.

Objectives:
– Learn problem solving skills that will help students in all aspects of life through math concepts
– See how math is used in the real world
– Augment classroom learning by giving those who really love math some extra challenge
– Help children who are struggling with math in the classroom through activites and application
Activities:
– Create a mock business (price, cost, breakeven analysis, assessing risk)
– See how professionals use math in the workplace
– Play math & strategy games
– Solve collaborative and challenging math problems in preparation for end-of-year interschool math competition
