Anyone is welcome to come take an envelope off the Giving Tree. Please feel free to spread the word to your friends, neighbors, local businesses, etc.

• Beginning November 20th come to the front office and choose an envelope off the tree. The Giving Tree will be up in the front office through December 1st.

• Take your envelope to one of the secretaries and they will collect your contact information and the number on the envelope.

• Open your envelope and go shopping for the items listed inside.

• Once you have purchased all items, please wrap and label each gift with the child’s name.

• When you are ready to deliver the gifts please do one of the following:

Contact the parent or guardian (listed on the Giving Tree form) and make arrangements to deliver the gifts to their home by December 20th.

OR

Gather the gifts in a box or bag, label the box or bag with the Giving Tree envelope number, and deliver them to the school by December 20th. The school will contact the family and make arrangements for the gifts to be picked up.

Reúna los regalos en una caja o bolsa, etiqueta la caja o bolsa con el número de sobre del Árbol de Regalos y entréguelos a la escuela antes del 20 de diciembre. La escuela se pondrá en contacto con la familia para recoger los regalos.

The Cascade Student Council is again sponsoring a school service project this year in the form of a coin drive – Penny Wars style. Students are encouraged to bring their coins and dollars to contribute. Pennies and dollars add points to your own class and then you can save your silver to put in another class’s jar which takes away points from that class.

The points vary day to day but all the money raised goes to help local Cascade families through our GIVING TREE program. Any excess money is put in a fund to get needs for students throughout the year (coats, shoes, food, etc). Penny Wars happens at the start of each day from 8:10-8:15 am.

Kindergarten students hold their own in class. Penny Wars will begin on Monday, Nov 27 and the final day will be Friday, Dec 1.

El Consejo Estudiantil de Cascade está patrocinando de nuevo un proyecto de servicio escolar este año en la forma de una colecta de monedas – estilo Penny Wars. Se motiva a los estudiantes a traer sus monedas y dólares para contribuir.

Los centavos y dólares agregan puntos a su propia clase y luego pueden guardar sus monedas de plata para ponerlas en el frasco de otra clase, lo que le quita puntos a esa clase. Los puntos varían día a día, pero todo el dinero recaudado se destina a ayudar a las familias locales de Cascade a través de nuestro programa GIVING TREE. El dinero sobrante se destina a un fondo para cubrir las necesidades de los alumnos a lo largo del año (abrigos, zapatos, comida, etc.).

Penny Wars ocurre al comienzo de cada día de 8:10-8:15 am. Los estudiantes de Kindergarten se mantienen en clase. Penny Wars comenzará el lunes 27 de noviembre y el último día será el viernes 1 de diciembre.
