SCC RULES OF ORDER and PROCEDURE
Procedures
Simplified Parliamentary Procedures will be used in SCC meetings, consisting of:
- Call to order/welcome
- Roll call of members present/introductions
- Last SCC meeting minutes approved
- Agenda Items- School Improvement Plan, Trustlands, OEK, Title One, Others
- Action items
- Announcements
- Adjournment
Voting
When a vote is needed such as to approve the Trustlands Plan, a motion, a second and a vote will be done. The chair will determine when a vote is needed and what type of vote will be used, such as:
- By Voice (aye, no)
- By Roll Call
- By General Consent (if there is no objection)
- By Division (standing or hands)
- By Ballot
State law requires one more yes than no vote to pass.
Input
Public input will be limited to three minutes when it is added to the agenda by calling the chair and requesting that public input be placed on the agenda two weeks before the meeting and by identifying the topic of input.
