Dear Parents,

This first week has been wonderful to see how excited our students and teachers are. The halls are again filled with laughter and energy. Thank you for entrusting your kids to us for this school year. We are look-
ing forward to another fantastic year at Cascade!

“Cascade’s Parent Teacher Association is currently accepting new members. There are many ways to be involved in PTA, even if you work full time or have a busy schedule. The PTA is the largest and oldest advocacy group for students and educators in the nation. We advocate on behalf of children and educators at the local, state and national levels, provide nationally recognized programs and access to resources within our Cascade community. The PTA sponsors the extra programs and events that enhance your child’s education and well-being.

A PTA membership gives you a membership card, the ability to vote on PTA initiatives, volunteer opportunities, the ability to apply for PTA grants and scholarships and access to our monthly newsletter. Memberships are currently $5 but will increase to $10 in September so join now! We are also currently giving away free Chick fil-a, Texas Roadhouse or Tagg Car Wash vouchers with every membership purchase while supplies last. You can redeem this with Keenan White at a PTA meeting. It’s like getting your membership for free! To learn more and to purchase your membership, visit our website at Cascade PTA Givebacks or https://cascadeelementary.givebacks.com/

We have a new school shirt that is available for purchase. Here is the link to see the Cascade offerings. https://anderson-monograms-4d8519a7-282a-4acb-9a5e-8c27362dea78.printavo.com/merch/cascadeelementary

This year every student in the district must have a parent sign up on Skyward in order for the student to use any district supported device. Attached to this email is an explanation on how to do this. For those needing
some assistance with this process we will have Chromebooks set up in the library during the school hours on Friday, August 16th.

Attached to this page is information on our drop off pick up zones. The first couple of weeks these zones can be a little congested. If we all follow the suggested guidelines of our zones the pickup drop off areas run much smoother. The biggest rule for a safe zone is to slow down and always be on the lookout for kids.

Last year we had several parents organize a bike bus. This was a successful way for kids and families to enjoy the time they had in getting to and from school.

We currently have 70 families that have signed up at Smith’s food for donations. Smiths will donate a portion of your purchase to Cascade. If you shop at Smiths please consider signing up for this program. https://www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/i/community/smiths-inspiring-donations
