Dear Parents,

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to take a moment to share some helpful tips and important reminders to support your child during end-of-year testing. These assessments are an opportunity for students to show what they’ve learned and how much they’ve grown over the year.

Here are some ways you can help your child feel prepared and confident:

  • Get Plenty of Rest: A good night’s sleep is essential. Please help your child stick to a consistent bedtime routine during testing days so they can be well-rested and focused.
  • Eat a Healthy Breakfast: Starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps fuel the brain and body. Encourage your child to eat something healthy each morning before testing.
  • Talk Positively About Testing: Your attitude toward testing can influence your child’s mindset. Talk about the tests in a calm and positive way, and let your child know that you’re proud of their hard work this year.
  • No Electronic Devices: Please remember that, per state testing guidelines, no electronic devices (including cell phones and smartwatches) are allowed during testing. Make sure your child leaves these items at home or knows to turn them in to their teacher before testing begins.
  • Encourage Effort, Not Perfection: Remind your child to do their best, take their time, and read each question carefully. Encourage them to try their hardest and be proud of their effort.
  • Keep It in Perspective: Testing is just one snapshot of your child’s progress this year. Let them know that it’s okay to feel a little nervous, but there’s no need to stress. They’ve learned so much—and this is simply their chance to show it!

We appreciate your continued support and partnership. Together, we can help make this a smooth and successful testing experience for your child.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We have a few spaces open for our Chinese Dual Immersion program in first grade for next year. If you are interested in your child participating before we reach out please fill out the application that is found in this link.

Estimados padres:
